Even two years after we started scanning the Madison Hardware photos from Richard Kughn, we’re still finding cool things. This Erie prototype gondola was tucked on a top shelf in the Detroit location. It appears it was designed to load and unload the cement canisters that were common gondola loads during the postwar years. There is Lionel artwork showing the mock up of this car, if / when I locate it, I will post it here. Also, good news about a second printing of the book, we are almost halfway to the number we need for a second run!
